Well Site Geologist

Jobs Description :

The supervision of the wireline logging program is one of the well site geologist’s most important responsibilities. The task of the wellsite geologist in the area can be subdivided into several categories.

Working Hours :

Monday-Friday

Spoken Language :

Indonesian & English

Before Logging Job

  • Pre-spud meeting & planning the logging program
  • Prepare Geological data as reference to make decision and action at well site
  • Wellsite Geologists should check all equipment are available and are in good condition before witnessing logging job, include PPE, stationary, lithology & hydrocarbon description equipment.
  • Actively Communicate with Drilling Representative and Logging Service Dispatcher for ‘job call out’

 During Logging Acquisition

  1. Discuss Logging program with Company Representative, Mud Engineer and Service Company
  2. supervise the wireline open hole logging programs to ensure that the best quality logs are obtained
  3. Report the open hole logging summary to the Company Representative, Asset Geologist, Wellsite Coordinator and Petrophysicist
  4. Checking the service ticket hat certain services have been rendered

Requirement :

  • Minimum Strata-1 (S1) Geologist, Petroleum, Mining, or another engineering.
  • Experience: Geologist (S-1), Minimal 2 (Two) years experience as WSG in Oil and Gas Industry or Mining, Petroleum/Mining/Other Engineer at least 4 (four) years experience as WSG in Oil and Gas Industry or Mining.
  • Have thorough knowledge of oil field/mining engineering and subsurface mapping methods including its practices and procedures.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), e-Mail, possess good English writing and delivering presentation.
  • At least 2 (Two) of 6 (Six) Wellsite Geologists have Horizontal / Directional Well experiences.
