Starting its business as an oil & gas sub contractor in 1970, SOECHI Lines was officially built in 1977 by concentrating its business in marine transportation. Today, with more than 30 years proven track record, SOECHI Lines has established itself as one of the largest tanker player in Indonesia.

To provide a more comprehensive service, we have currently expanded our business line into shipyard services through building our own shipyard in Karimun Island, Riau Province. As of the end of 2013, the completion of shipyard project has reached 53%.

1. Marine Superintendent

JOB SUMMARY :

• To ensure the safe operation of the ships as assigned and to provide a link between the Company and those on board to monitor the safety and pollution prevention aspects of the operation and to ensure that adequate resources and shore based support are applied as required.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY :

• Monitor the shipboard marine safety, environmental & quality issues, Control and monitor the risk for assigned vessels and to act as part of the risk assessment team for shipboard procedures and operations
• Monitor the office and shipboard marine, safety, environmental & quality issues
• Monitor the voyage and operational performance of assigned vessels providing assistance to the Master as necessary.
• Maintain ISM Certification and formulate the shipboard annual audit plan to ensure that audits are progressed (in conjunction with Quality Management Officer).
• Conduct vessel inspections to confirm compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, Load Line, STCW, ILO Conventions and applicable industry codes. Verify that any corrective action is agreed upon and implemented in a timely manner.
• Maintain records of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformance reports. Verify that an effective investigation is carried out and appropriate corrective action is agreed upon and implemented in a timely manner.
• Responsible for carrying out Marine procedures that are in accordance with the company's SOP

REQUIREMENT : 

• Diploma/Bachelor Degree from Maritime Studies or ANT-1 Certified 
• Preferably candidate with sailing experiences as Master capacity at least 2 years in Oil/Chemical/Gas Tanker 
• Vast knowledge in maritim industries
• Familiar with TMSA, SIRE, PSA etc. is a must
• Possess good analitical thingking, proactive, good leadership and able to work Collaboratively

2. Technical Superintendent

JOB SUMMARY

• Responsible for planning, analyzing vessel maintenance and ensuring vessel performance as assigned by company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Ensuring vessels in operational condition by providing a thorough treatment from technical aspect by implement PMS (Planned Maintenance System)
• Monitoring and establishing reason for excessive/unusual wear and tear and develop prevention through consultation with technical manager
• Monitoring technical performance of the assigned vessel and consumption of spares, lube Oils, and bunkers to ensure these conditions are not caused by poor condition of the vessel
• Monitoring survey cycle, statutory survey requirement and carrying out direct survey on board
• Provide solutions to the problems that occurred on the vessels from the technical side, carry out periodic surveys on the condition of the vessels and controlling demand for goods needed by the vessels
• Monitor the implementation of SOP
• CHALLENGE :

• Limited maintenance and repair times and cannot interfere with the charter time requested by charterer
• Maintenance that carried out needs to refer to the budget provided, especially quality compared to the amount of available budget
• The time for repairs between one ship to another
• Implementation of a ship maintenance record system in fulfilling requests or analysis of the demand requirements of ships

QUALIFICATION :

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree/Master Degree in Maritime Studies - ATT 1 (Ahli Teknika Tingkat-1) Certified
• Sailing experience as Chief Engineer in Oil tanker / Chemical tanker at least 2 contract
• Required skills : Ship Management, ISM Code, ISPS Code, International Convention Regulation
• Possess good analytical and logical thinking skills, detail oriented and proactive for continuous improvement
• Fluency in English is required for this position
