Purpose of Position: Manage a variety of projects providing an effective interface between Engineering and Production and the Customer to consistently deliver high quality, on time and on budget projects.
Purpose of Team: Design, manufacture and deliver innovative specialised vehicles that meet or exceed all expectations of customers
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all Customer communications during the Project to maintain healthy relationships and to understand their business operations and objectives
- Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor and Close-Out projects, following the Varley BOS.
- Set up in ERP system, projects and jobs with budgets with appropriate level of task breakdown to effectively monitor project performance
- Develop and maintain project schedules based on project scope of work and key milestones of sufficient detail to effectively monitor project performance.
- Review project costs and schedule against contracted deliverables and budgets and provide status reports and forecasting
- Regularly review and actively manage all aspects of the contract to ensure a successful outcome.
- Ensure all contract Variations are identified, assessed for price and time impacts and submitted to the customer.
- Develop product / services specifications for subcontracted work
- Hold internal and external project progress meetings and provide meeting agenda and minutes
- Plan, coordinate, monitor, coach and review the work performance of project team members
- Ensure all milestones are invoiced on time.
- Assist with preparation of acceptance test plan, procedures and reports
- Assist production and engineering with resource planning and control
- Assist in the creation of Materials Kit Breakdown in MOM to ensure materials kits are delivered 100% accurately to required work cell, and sub assembly
- Assist production to produce accurate and detailed “line books” (Bill Of Operations) required to drive Production productivity.
