- We are looking to recruit a CPLO (temporary for 6 months) to join our team at Sparrows in Jakarta, Indonesia.
- The main purpose of the role is to ensure client lifting operations are controlled, planned, supervised and executed safely. In addition, the incumbent will be required to carry out lifting equipment maintenance and inspections and control client and subcontractor lifting equipment utilised across all operating boundaries.
About this role
- Implement and adhere to client Crane Lifting and Rigging (CLR) Operational Excellence Instructions (OEIs).
- Planning ‘Basic’, ‘Complicated’ and ‘Complex’ lifting operations.
- Planning and managing lifting equipment and personnel resources necessary to execute lifting operations.
- Person in Charge (PIC) of lifting operations, ensuring the work is performed in accordance with the Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
- Carry out pre-lift toolbox safety talks with lift team personnel and post-lift debriefs, recording lessons learned etc.
- Supervise lifting equipment maintenance and inspection programmes and compile reports for filing on the client management system.
- Correct storage and handling of client lifting equipment including management and control of rigging lofts.
- Daily reporting to client representatives to discuss lifting operations and lifting equipment related scopes of work.
HSEQ Responsibilities
- It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with, and follows the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
- The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to the Management System processes/procedures.
- The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health, safety and/or environmental legislation to follow these.
- The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
Qualifications & Experience
- Underpinning knowledge of Industry Approved Codes of Practice relating to lifting operations and lifting equipment.
- Rigger level 3 or Lifting Competent Person
